Hello! Carnival and the magic of Mardi Gras may be behind us for another year. Here in New Orleans, however, the end of the biggest free party on Earth just means the beginning of another spring, full of festivals and events. Free music stages start to pop up with Wednesdays at the Square, French Quarter Fest and of course, the mother of our festival season, Jazz Fest, which kicks off on the second-to-last-weekend of April. Food, books, movies, bands, and the local Irish community are all thoroughly celebrated over the next two months, and it really is an amazing time to come and see us in the Crescent City. The weather couldn’t be more perfect as we bask in the pre-summer sunshine, and it’s the ideal months for outdoor dining, pool time and walking tours. If it’s cold and gray where you are, it’s warm and colorful here all year round, so make plans to visit us at Chez Palmiers and come down and see us for a spectacular spring!
